Air Bag Commodore NON IRS VK VL VN VP VR VS VT VX VY VZ

Air Bag Suspension for Commodore NON IRS rear any model.

 

This kit suits any commodore ute or wagon or any Holden for that matter with NON IRS. (it suits leaf spring rear)

Thes bags compliment what ever leaf springs you have. They sit between the leaf spring and the chassis. You can use these in conjunction with most lowering kits provided there is room - There is not enough room for these in a lowered crewman but plenty of room in a standard height crewman.

 

The three L's .. Lower, Lift & Load

  • Load the car up - these bags are rated to carry 2.5ton so load up the car with people, heavy trailers, etc and be able to drive with heavy loads. Perfectly good for towing boats, horse floats, bike trailers, caravans and tradies trailers, etc.
  • Lift the car to even 2" higher than standard to clear drive ways, speed humps, trailer ramps, etc.
  • Lower the car to super low. If your springs have been changed to permit the car to be lowered then these bags will give you that lift to get around. These are the bags the lowered street machines and show cars use. In the USA the jump cars and mini trucks use these for the super low look and then lift the car for driving.

Smooth ..  Driving on air bags is marvelous. Normal springs have a rebound reaction whereas air bags cushion. Also when air bags compress, the air squashes further and the spring rate progressively gets stiffer. Air bags swallow up bumps in the road like they weren't there. Note - these rear bags still need you to run your shock absorber / damper.

Tough .. Air Bags are super tough. Busses, trucks and trains run on bags such as this - just bigger. But by comparison to the loads - not that much bigger. This very same bag is also used in our load assist kit we have for the Big Ford F250 utes, stretch Hummers and commercial vehicles. You can't question their toughness. So much so, there is a lifetime warranty on the bags and fittings.

Testing .. These bags meet Australian Design Rules and have been tested with up to 10,000Kg (10ton) and 800 psi pressure. That's way more than you could throw at them. Typically a heavy load is normally only about 300Kg and the bags run at about 15 to 30 psi.

The kits are assembled in Queensland using Australian materials and labour.

Its a 20 minute per side job to fit. No special tools or skills required.

These bags do the rear - Included in this kit is all you need to run them in the rear for manual inflation / deflation with a service station air pump, home / garage compressor or a 12v Cig Lighter compressor.

These bags do not increase your permitted vehicle load capacity unless you get the vehicle assessed by an engineer. They dont change the engineering of the vehicle and do not impact insurances or legalities any more than a regular.
