Make night driving more enjoyable with these great 9in Supernova 35w HID driving lights from Ironman. Having extra seeing power at night is always something people want when driving at night to see the road better ahead, to the sides in case there is wandering wildlife about, and with just these simple features, fatigue doesn't set in as early as it would by just using your headlights.
HID is the future in vehicle lighting. HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. Basically it is exceptionally high voltage passing through a gas that emits the light. (Just like a flouro tube). This means the following:
There is no fragile element that can break. The only way to blow a HID globe is to break the glass. To do that requires an impact.
This means no blown or fragile globes.
The globe can be immersed in water and still work.
HID globes run at low amps (amps are what flattens a battery). Low amps means longer battery life when the engine is not running.
These HID globes run at 35 Watt option). A normal Spot Light globe runs at 100 Watts.
This means less current (amps) for longer battery life as well as less heat output. Less heat means less problems when submerging under water with temperature changes, etc.
Low Watts and Low Amps means you can run these with a conventional wiring loom as well!
So there is no need to upgrade your loom as you would with a higher wattage halogen globe.
